新加坡前總理李光耀逝世，馬英九總統今天(24日)上午搭乘華航班機以私人身分前往星國總統府致意，根據了解，隨行的另有國安會前祕書長胡為真以及外交部前部長錢復。
由於總統已經親往致哀，因此，新加坡在29日據行國葬時，我方將不會派出「特使團」，而是另由卸任官員以私人名義受邀前往，駐新加坡代表謝發達也預定出席。
另一方面，外交部表示，外交部長林永樂在24日上午前往新加坡駐台北商務辦事處，代表中華民國政府及人民表達對於李光耀辭世的深切哀悼，林永樂並在星國駐台代表于文豪陪同下簽名致哀。
